Mission
Meeting of the Minds brings together practitioners and preservice educators and librarians to discuss and experience the power of collaboration. Through book group meetings and panel discussions, we explore ways and reasons collaboration can benefit students. --Jamie Winchell
Vision
I propose beginning an ongoing public dialogue between the students and faculty of both the School of Education and the Graduate School of Library and Information Science’s School Library Media Program. The goal of this jointly-shared forum for discussion is to increase our understanding of each other, as well as for students from both programs to make connections with one another at the preservice level. The hope is that through connections made as students, there will be a greater likelihood of rich collaborative relationships emerging between classroom teachers and school library media specialists when they are out in the field. These dynamic relationships between educators serve students by enhancing their learning experiences. -Julia Monczunski
