Johnston Based on a study of literacy teachers and explores unforeseen consequences of what we say/don’t say and Bluefish by Pat Schmatz A YA novel that follows the developing friendship of Travis and Velveeta and how words and a great teacher bring them together. (Velveeta reads The Book Thief in Bluefish.) |

Bring some favorite books and be ready to share: Picture books (not necessarily for young children), graphic novels, young adult novels, adult novels, non-fiction books, articles, etc. We will do short booktalks, share favorites, and compile a list of favorites.
